Welcome to Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative’s Web site!! This Web site has been designed to provide information about our cooperative and answer some frequently asked questions. You will find that we provide a variety of services to our cooperative member-owners.

The Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative headquarter's is located at 231 North Sheridan Street in Lancaster, Wisconsin in Grant County. Our service territory covers Lafayette, Crawford and Grant Counties, with some members in the neighboring counties of Green, Iowa, Richland, and Vernon. We also serve a few members in Illinois that border with southern Lafayette County.

Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative. Touchstone is a national alliance of local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives serving more than 17 million customers every day.

Rural Electric Cooperatives were created in the 1930’s as the need for electricity in rural areas increased. Through member-owned cooperatives low cost electricity was provided to those rural residents. Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative was created with the merger of Crawford Electric and Grant-Lafayette Electric in 1999. The name was chosen because of the beautiful rivers in the area.
